Mantra Collins Hotel is one of Hobart’s most popular hotels due to its central location and historic charm. Situated just two streets back from the Hobart CBD, the hotel is within a short stroll of Salamanca Place where decadent restaurants, fresh gourmet producers and boutique stores with handmade crafts line the waterfront. Here you can catch the ferry to the Museum of Old and New Art (MONA).

From this Hobart hotel you’ll also find tour meeting points, along with the city’s main attractions close by. Walk to the Hobart Visitor Information Centre, Theatre Royal, Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens, The Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery, the Hobart waterfront and Constitution Dock.

For guests arriving at the Hobart Airport, there are regular shuttle buses with will transfer you to and from your accommodation, which takes just 15 minutes each way.

Check-in time starts at 2pm. Check-out time is 11am.

Car parking important information

Mantra Collins has a strategic partner relationship with Market Place Car Park that provides hotel guests with permission to park in reserved permit holder spaces.

The car park is privately owned and all fees for parking are paid to the car park owner.

The arrangement enables hotel guests to use the car park and park in reserved bays provided that before leaving the car park your ticket is validated at Mantra Collins before exiting the car park.

Guests may enter the car park at all times even if the car park full sign is out.

Guests are to park in a reserved permit holder space level 6 and below.

If a space is not available please see an attendant on site but it would be unusual for a space to be unavailable.

Fees and Information

There is a 5 minute parking area in front of the hotel for drop off and check in, or you can enter the car park immediately upon arrival via Market Place.

Come down in the lift to Level 1 and walk around behind the lifts. The hotel is 20 metres down an undercover walkway.

Discounted cost of parking is $18.00 per 8 to 24 hours continuous parking, one entry one exit.

To receive this discounted rate you must have your car parking ticket validated by Hotel Reception.

For shorter stays we suggest you pay the normal casual fees, especially on weekends recognising that your ticket needs to be validated at the Hotel Reception before exiting the car park.

The ticket machine at the car park will issue a receipt if required for tax purposes.

The Car Park is a private business and is not operated by Mantra Collins, as such all fees are paid direct to the car park.

The ticket machine accepts cash as well as all credit cards and will issue tax receipts.
