Forest Walks Lodge offers eco-accommodation on the edge of the wilderness near Deloraine, northern Tasmania.
The lodge accommodates eight guests in three ensuite double bedrooms, with extra bunks for children if required. Restaurant quality meals can be provided in-house on request. These are prepared using local organic and specialty foods of the region.
The lodge, built on the edge of the forest, allows you to immerse yourself in the natural environment. From the lodge you can observe the surrounding mountains, wildlife and the Tasmanian World Heritage area. Guided walks and bird tours are on offer as separate bookings or as part of a two or three day package. The lodge is a sustainable building, almost entirely built from local and recycled materials as a solar passive house. All electricity is generated onsite and all waste is processed onsite.

A local fly-fishing guide is available to teach you from scratch or guide you to the best fishing spots nearby.
Nearby activities include a visit to the fish farm, Mole Creek Caves and the historic township of Deloraine
The lodge is around 50 minutes’ drive (72 kilometres/45 miles) from both Launceston airport and the Devonport ferry terminal.
