Bungunyah offers prestigious accommodation at an affordable rate. Operated by Kees and Lisa, owner builders of the property, they live in the historic homestead (1880C) located within the two acres of Bungunyah's gardens. The homestead of 'Bungunyah was initially used as a horse stud, and has a history of three owners including the current owners the Kos's, who restored the homestead to its former splendour in 1980. Bungunyah ('Lost Shelter') was named by the first colonial settlers in honour of the local indigenous people.

Each villa is fully self-contained and individually furnished with all décor handpicked for its elegance and ambience. Kees and Lisa are passionate about their property and are bent on providing first class service and accommodation. Bungunyah consists of self-contained free standing one, two & three bedroom villas located at the gateway to the Yarra Valley Wine District, The Dandenong Ranges and yet only 30 mins from Melbourne CBD.

Bungunyah is at the gateway to the renowned Yarra Valley Wine District and at the foothills to the glorious Dandenong Ranges. Visit one of the many vineyards such as Chandon Domain and enjoy some sumptuous offerings plus a wonderful glass of their famous sparkling / wine. Alternatively enjoy an early morning balloon flight over the Yarra Valley or visit Sherbrooke Forest where you can walk amongst the tall eucalypts and tree ferns.

There are many shopping complexes in the area to indulge in or stroll amongst the abundant art and craft stores to be found on Mt Dandenong. Healesville Fauna Park is a great place to get up close and personal with some of Australia's wildlife or Puffing Billy is a big hit with the kids (and adults) to enjoy a steam train ride through some of Australia's wonderful bush.
